Prince of darkness, or first king of Europe…?

I know someone who can’t make up his mind which career he wants to pursue. Like poor Prince Hamlet he dithers in indecision. Having saved his country, he decided to save his church which is very much in the doldrums after 2,000 years of mismanagement. But with the job just begun, a brand new opportunity has presented itself to him…what to do?

There is his foundation work, too, which helps keep the wolf from the door and promotes harmony around the world.

Why we’re rubbish!

The change began during Harold Wilson’s premiership, you know? I watched it. The growth in expectation. The bludgeoning of trade union power. The increasing fragmentation of what had become a fragile society. Local communities abruptly ceased to have real worth, as individual desire for a bigger slice of the pie came to the fore. I saw it all. I watched as values went to hell in a handcart, as greed was not only encourage, but became the ideal!

Of course Heath with his boat, Morning Cloud, tried to reintroduce an element of “morality” to the situation – not for “morality’s sake, of course, no, more to protect the interests of business reeling under the demands of a “unionized” workforce and increased “social responsibilities” ( a euphemism perhaps for increased taxation?) – but strange to relate I don’t believe whatever their faults either regime could have launched the bloody, unwarranted, and aggressive attacks on sovereign nations we have witnessed in the past few years.

Mrs. Thatcher bless her ensured the “ME” generation become immortalised in state sponsored egotism, coupled with an unexpected burst of jingoistic fervor when the Falkland Isles were invaded.

Now, post Blair, post Brown the ultimate absurdity, nothing is more important than “ME”, so fuck you!!!

This country in just a few decades has developed the morality of the “whore of Babylon”; today, like Sodom and Gomorrah, our media shed tears of blood over…money! Over “materialism” the God we must all bend to worship!

What a sad fucking bunch we all are ! Why the hell don’t we all die now and give the rest of suffering humanity a chance?
