It gives the surprise of being.
She’s tall, with hair of a dark blonde,
It’s pleasurable to think of seeing
Her body not quite ripe.

Her firm breasts resemble
(If she was lying down)
Two small mountains at dawn
Without the need of daybreak.

And the hand of her arm of white
Rests in a spread of fingers
On the saliency of her flank
Covering its curve.

Desirable as a boat
There is something nice about it.
My God, when is it that I board?
Oh hunger, when do I eat?

Fernando Pessoa

Pesso’s famous erotic poem was inspired by Aleister Crowley’s German-American girlfriend Hanni Jaeger during September 1930. She had (according to Crowley’s diary) “her first astral vision” on Wednesday, 10th September 1930 after meeting Pesso. “She sees easily, clearly and correctly, but does not hear, or know how to deal with the visions yet. But she saw her own astral as Our Lady Nuit – the Body of Stars.” Which demonstrates once again the power of hypnotic suggestion when imbibing hallucinogenic concoctions.

normal sex instinct

It is a terrible error to let any natural impulse, physical or mental, stagnate. Crush it out, if you will, and be done with it; or fulfill it, and get it out of the system; but do not allow it to remain there and putrefy. The suppression of the normal sex instinct, for example, is responsible for a thousand ills. In Puritan countries one inevitably finds a morbid preoccupation with sex coupled with every form of perversion and degeneracy.

Alice and that rabbit

December 10, 2016

Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.
