The Witches’ Sabbath

April 15, 2018

Come horse, come hound, come leaping toads,
Down from the forests and over the roads,
Through all the meadows and over the ditches;
Off to the Sabbath to dance with the witches.

Beavers and badgers and nocturnal creatures;
Cats, bats and howlets with comical features,
Flying and creeping and crawling and walking.
Dancing and singing and laughing and talking.

Folks from the cottages, people with riches
Come altogether to dance with the witches.

Flowers from the hedges with mosses and lichen
Carried by ladies and maids from the kitchen;
Squires from the manors and boys from the stables,
Young folk and old folk and all who are able,
Travel by twilight avoiding all hitches;
Everyone rushes to dance with the witches.

Round the bonfire they go merrily tripping,
Yelling and screaming and jumping and skipping.

Free as the wind they keep dancing and shrieking,
Bodies all gleaming and sweating and reeking.

This is far better than all your riches;
Throw off your cares and let’s dance with the witches.

In the pale moonlight they romp till the morning,
When everybody is tired out and yawning.

Loudly they shout in the highest of pitches,
O’ for the nights when we dance with the witches.

To burn the witch is to admit the magic…

April 15, 2018

Soft toys that make to seem girls
In cool whitewash with two coral
Valves of lip printing each others’ grease …
A clockwork Cupid’s bow. Increase!
Their cherry-ripe hullo brims the open purse
Of eyes washed white by the marmoreal light;
So swaying as if on pyres they go
About the buried business of the night,
Cold witches of the elementary tease
Balanced on the horn of a supposed desire…
Trees shed their leaves like some of these.

to be submissive

April 15, 2018

Showing yourself to be submissive is not a sign of weakness…it , in fact, shows great courage, confirming who you are, your true inner identity…That’s why you, as submissive, and always with the premise of taking care of yourself, must not hide away your emotions or your inner motivation. Above all you demonstrate you know your place which implies, in my opinion, that you will never let others coerce you, blackmail you or impose anything on you – unless you want it. To please others should not mean to stop pleasing yourself.

‘Normally, as you are aware, consent is everything,’ she said. ‘But not here, not today. Today we will create un moment magique, one that you will never forget. No safe words, no role play. Just the reality of pure sadism. You may beg, cry, curse – it will make no difference. I will be implacable, unhearing, your Nemesis, a simple tool of earlier, unspeakable Gods, overflowing with their cruelty.’

A work of occult fiction is often a reflection of the writer’s own Great Work, it charts their interior processes and exposes the intimate distillations of their materials, but it also has the potential to become a philosopher’s stone that acts on reality, something that can produce gold when it comes into contact with other metals. Through a combination of the contortion of language by the Unseen and the receptive preparation of the reader’s mind, it is possible for what begins as idiosyncratic symbols, relevant only to the writer’s inner landscape, to become active upon others. It is in this mysterious space between revelation and exposition that narrative takes on the mantle of myth.

the womb closed

April 15, 2018

I believe in keeping the womb closed and the legs safely open. Not only is this smart for ethical population control, it’s more fun than the consequences.

the tradition of witches

April 15, 2018

Going nuts. Witches didn’t often talk about it, but they were aware of it all the time. Going nuts – or, rather, not going nuts – was the soul and center of witchcraft, and this was how it worked. After a while, a witch, who almost always worked by herself in the tradition of witches, had a tendency to go … strange. Of course, it depended on the length of time and the strength of mind of the witch, but sooner or later they tended to get confused about things like right and wrong and good and bad and truth and consequences. That could be very dangerous. So witches had to keep one another normal, or at least what was normal for witches. It didn’t take very much: a tea party, a singalong, a stroll in the woods, and somehow everything balanced up, and they could look at advertisements for gingerbread cottages in the builder’s brochure without putting a deposit on one.
