Greece. The roseate light of dawn finger creeping over the hump-back hills. Red earth, rocks and the painful blue of the sea. Twisted olive trees growing all around like malformed old men and the red sun rising like the eye of one of those ancient God’s that once dominated this land…

I like libraries. It makes me feel comfortable and secure to have walls of words, beautiful and wise, all around me. I always feel better when I can see that there is something to hold back the shadows.

I’ll have some idea or see something or an event will strike me in a certain way. I’ll string it along immediately and think of where it could lead and where it could go. I think of a story.
